today I am thankful for the opportunity to work alongside like-minded women in the kingdom of God. From different backgrounds, different socio-economic levels, and different denominations, we are alike in a singular commitment to see the Word of God taught clearly, boldly and with the compassion of Christ.
The work is not always easy; in fact, most weeks many sacrifices are made. The work does not always show immediate fruit; in fact, most weeks we may wonder if progress has been made at all. But the work is unto the Lord and rests in the promises of the Lord that His Word never returns void. The work is done because each one is called to do it, no matter the cost.
I have served alongside many believers in my life and I continue to be amazed and humbled that God would give such privilege to carry His Word through the weakest and most unusual manner of person. All the more reason that the fruit, the progress and the glory are His alone.

What a blessing it is to have sisters in Christ. Even without other similarities, having Jesus as our head is enough. This is a sweet post about something we too often take for granted. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe women in the body of Christ are a blessing in my life, too. I am so thankful for my sisters.
ReplyDeleteAmen and amen, dear sister and fellow servant!
ReplyDelete"I continue to be amazed and humbled that God would give such privilege to carry His Word through the weakest and most unusual manner of person." My husband and I have often marveled at that very thing--that He chose US to do the work that He has called us to. Most astonishing, and we're humbled and thankful that He can use us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a true joy it is to labor with other sisters for the cause of Christ! The supernatural tie that binds is stronger than all temporal differences.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
