Thankful for safe travel...

and a road trip with a friend. Yesterday I flew into Dallas to start the great Fall 2009 Road Trip to San Antonio, TX. Yee-haw! Thelma and Louise 2.0 have arrived in Texas with big plans and bigger conversational topics. But without the guns.

We slowly left Dallas--can you say t-r-a-f-f-i-c and then began to wind our way down to San Antonio. While in the car we solved every world problem imaginable. The book should be out in 2012. Order your advance copy now.

Oh wait, that is when the Mayans say the world will end. Again, order your advance copy now.

Anyway, we laughed at everything, cried over a few things and talked till our tongues wagged. Finally arriving in San Antonio in time to lose the hotel. Find it. Change and refresh ourselves before hitting the sights at the famous Riverwalk.

It is as beautiful as they say. And how come grilled salmon tastes better in TX?

We are having a fabulous time. There is still much to do and celebrate.  Every moment makes me so very thankful for the influence of lifelong Christian friends. I mean, honestly, if this trip is this good, can you even imagine what heaven will be like?

Yee-haw!

I am thankful for the safe travel that allowed me to be with her.

However, my blog post on airport shoe fashion choices and current airport etiquette will have to occur after the month of thankfulness has ceased.  Not so thankful there.

Rebecca Writes and the Month of Thankfulness--try it, you'll like it.
