Prayer in the closet, prayer in the car, prayer in the shower, prayer kneeling in a circle of friends, prayer whispered at a child's bedside, prayer that is cried, prayer that is groaned, prayer that is exultant. Prayer that brings you into the presence of God. Prayer that breaks your heart, humbles pride and restores life. Prayer for the unsaved, and prayer for the spiritual growth of the saved. Prayer for God's will to be done and prayer that personal will be subdued. Prayer for brokenness and wholeness, for justice and mercy, for conviction and forgiveness.
I am thankful for prayer.
What an amazing gift that we can approach God through our prayers and worship, and join with him in bringing about his kingdom to come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed that when I'm completely empty and I think I have nothing left that one prayer, just one cry to my Father, and I'm full again.

ReplyDeleteit is my rock. my peace in the middle of a raging river.
ReplyDeletePrayer in the night, when you awaken. Sweet thank-yous sent to Jesus and the Heavenly Father. Requests for the safety of your children, and help with your witness for Him. What would we do without the connection prayer affords us?
