In and out...

of the blogging world would best describe my mood right now. It's a virtual hokey-pokey event. Put your left foot in (write a post), put your left foot out (forget to publish it). Put your left foot in (edit the post), and shake it all about (realize by the time you're ready to publish, your point has passed).

That's what it's all about.

And, I am totally okay with that. Blogging is not my business. It's a hobby. I do better with the hobby part than say I did at the scrapbooking thing. If you looked at the whole three pages I actually finished, you would think, "Why did she even try this?"

I would agree. It all sounded like fun. The cropping parties! The pretty papers! The designs and stickers! Scalloped edges!

Um, yeah. Not so much me. At all.

Writing though has a calming effect on me. An emptying of my thoughts onto a screen. Whether anyone reads or not, I retain a modicum of control. Which is all a recovering control freak wants in her life. A modicum. A moment. A millisecond.

And then it's over and back to the hokey-pokey.

  1. Of course, being a Hokie, I like to think that the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about! :-)

  2. Well, I'm glad you're "in" for the moment.

And I can't even speak about scrapbooking without wanting to stab myself in the eye repeatedly with pinking shears.
