I'm just saying...

that if you're going to be on your feet all day long decorating, organizing, moving, setting up, planning and deciding, then you'd better wear comfortable shoes.  I did.

I'm just saying that if you're going to be running up and down stairs and ladders, in and around 48 tables, back and forth a conference center, then you'd better have on comfortable clothes.  I did.

I'm just saying that if you're going to be shlepping fake peace lilies, rose petals, red and white tulle, bandanas, denim, burlap, hay bales, cowboy boots and hats around, then you'd better drink lots of water.  I did.

I'm just saying that if you're going to be moving at many miles an hour for many hours, then you'd better be stoked up on caffeine and chocolate.  I was.

But I'm just saying that when aforesaid activity and poor dietary habits come home to roost, then you'd better have ibuprofen, a black velour suit, and a red comfy couch upon which to lie down. And the people in your family had better not expect you to move.  Ya'll hear?

  1. What? You mean you didn't come home, cook a meal, do some laundry and bathe some kids? LOL! Hope you recover soon!

  3. Wow. You've got more energy than I! Hope you got to put up your feet and rest! Those are the times I pop in a movie for the kids and don't even feel guilty about it!! Take care....

  4. Having spent an equivalent of months in a children's hospital with one of my sons during the first several years of his life, I know the value of your work this weekend. Thank you!
