Thankful Thursday...

This morning I woke up thankful for a good night's sleep in my own bed.

And then the headache I went to sleep with, started right back up again.

This morning I was thankful for a discussion with the boys about Old Testament sacrifices and how these pointed to the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.

And then school started and one guy, nameless even in nickname to protect the guilty, decided to take a math lesson of one hour and turn it into three hours. Giving the consequence to all of us that plans tomorrow may be delayed because of today's uncompleted schoolwork.

By lunch I was thankful that even when there is sin, reference the math debacle, there is forgiveness and restoration. Even when there are consequences, there is the God given opportunity to learn from the consequences and experience His grace.

And where there is grace, there is gratitude.
