Neither here nor there...

but a random set of things I have wanted to blog about and some linklove to share:

**Lux Venit's ode to her blog anniversary was my own startling reminder that I missed my own blog anniversary. It was sometime in May, about three years ago. I think. Roots of this problem will probably be why my boys will think their mother didn't love them. Because she forgets to chronicle certain dates of importance. Anyway, I almost nodded my head off in agreement to Leslie's words about her blog regarding my own. Happy Blogoversary to A Complete Thought. I did not really know where it would go once started. I still don't, most of the time.

**Spunky Homeschool is asking a penetrating question today about whether your homeschooling is a preference or conviction. I'm mulling my own answers in my head today but do plan to comment. I do believe that with the current administration and their looming action plans regarding cradle to grave issues, it is a question I need to answer firmly within my own head and heart. This is where the rubber hits the road, when there is a true cost to beliefs. Will I act as I believe or as I say I believe?

**Tree Climbing Adventures has become one of my top fave blogs to read. Her writing is clear and straightforward, and I get her humor (although not her penchant for Nascar--we have remained friends). Anyway, Lori also started a devotional blog titled Spacious Living. These posts are a study of Peter through the Gospel of Mark. I am thoroughly enjoying her insight and devotional writing. Just be warned, she asks hard application questions according to the truth of God. Now that's what I'm talking about!

**I read on a lot of blogs how someone is able to see which post is viewed the most on their blog. I finally paid attention to that techno-info on my Wordpress dashboard and realized that my post on Dog and Cat Theology is my top viewed post. If you read the post, I would love to hear why you think people are searching for that topic.

  1. Happy bloggiversary. I went back and read the cat/dog theology post. It's really good, but you're right, there's simply no way of knowing WHY everyone is using that search term.

One of my top keyword searches? "full body hose."

I've never written about that, but I sure do wish I had some sometimes!

  2. Happy Blogiversary! So glad you're a part of the blogosphere!

Just read the Dog/Cat post for the first time. As a cat owner, I totally get the philosophies.

There's a lot in that post - what are the search strings which lead to it?

  3. Happy Anniversary! I missed mine, too... I think it was a couple of weeks ago (I should check on that). I'm going to swing by and read Spunky Homeschool's post. I just listened to a conference session hosted by Doug Phillips and he addressed the same topic. I think conviction vs preference has a big impact on the WAY we homeschool.

Loved the Dogs and Cats post - I thought it was going to be a discussion of whether or not pets go to heaven! God herding cats... what a mental picture!

By the way... I forgive you for your lack of appreciation for watching people drive real fast while making nothing but left turns... it's an acquired taste!
