Quick Friday status report...

is the order of the day because I've got burgers, dogs, corn on the cob & fried green beans to get going. But these things are bouncing around in my brain. And that's why I started this blog--to get the bouncing thoughts out of my head.

Oh, and rather than be negligent in crediting the lovely Lisa Writes for her genius idea of a status report which has saved the blogging hides of bloggers all over. Muchas gracias!

Sitting...at the computer to blog as quickly as I can when I should be standing in the kitchen working on the dinner and cook-out plans.

Drinking...nothing right now, but Cafe Verona is about to be brewed.

Thinking...about how much I admire authenticity in friends.

Praying...that as the Lord continues to show us His plan that I will have a faithful and godly response no matter the cost.

Laughing...about how much fun the boys are having with their new Rosetta Stone Spanish program. It's all "El nino bebe." around here. There's just a whole lot of southern twang in the Spanish.

Studying...curriculum and lesson plans because our new school year starts June 1st.

Hoping...that the van will be quickly repaired.

Reading...The Courage to Be Protestant by David Wells and Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper. They're quite synchronous.

Listening...to my current faves playlist on my iPod which contains some amazing Kris Allen!

Planning...our War Between the States trips for summer and fall.

Finishing...a great year of Bible study and this blog post because...

Starting...a summer of study for next year's Bible study, but dinner first.

Have a great Friday!

  1. Our son just ordered the Rosetta Stone Spanish program, too. He's applying for a border patrol job...yikes!

  2. So how do you work your school year? I don't want to stick with the local school calendar but I don't really have any good ideas about WHY or what a better solution would be. (Other than it makes sense to do some school when it is so stinkin' hot outside.)
