Here is Governor Dunmore on his way to the Capitol Building. He has bad news for the Patriots.

These are the actors portraying the Patriots. The gentleman on the far left is Patrick Henry.

From left to right, Patrick Henry, Richard Henry Lee, Peyton Randolph (Speaker of the House of Burgesses), Edmund Randolph, a Tory, and Major George Washington. Governor Dunmore is on the balcony dissolving the House of Burgesses.

This was the group that presented at the cannon firing. The remainder of the corps joined them for the march down Duke of Gloucester Street.

Self explanatory and quite exciting for 7-11 year old boys. Impressive.

All a little bit starstruck to be beside their hero.

Now I need to publish before I mess something up. That's a record number of pictures for me, people.

  2. Wow! I didn't think you'd really do it! :)

These are so cool and we just finished reading the Felicity series of the American Girl books (colonial era) so we know all about Gov. Dunmore. I'll have to show her these pics!
