second caudal epidural block (CEB). I did receive a gracious rooster early morning appointment this week, for which I am very grateful. Considering that all the anesthesia rules are in effect for these things, meaning no eating after midnight, last week's appointment time of 11:30 a.m. seemed a bit perverse when the detail of "nothing" also means no coffee.
No coffee!
But 11:30 seemed kind when it was all said and done, because I didn't actually get taken back for the big stick until after 2:30 p.m.
No coffee and 2:30 p.m.!
This time though I'll be barely awake to want coffee, and by the time I'm really wanting coffee, I should hopefully be almost finished and fairly easily placated by a run to Starbucks on my way home.
Early morning CEB and Starbucks coffee by noon!
It should be a good day.
The last time I had a nuclear stress test, it was scheduled for 4:30 pm. I could eat a light lunch but NO COFFEE or caffeine of any type for 24 hours before the test.
ReplyDelete(And they wonder why my heart was skipping so much!)
Didn't leave the office until around 6:30 and we went straight for a cup of coffee.
You have my sympathy.
