math is scary.
According to Carla at Reflections of the Times, you age 5 years for every child that you have and an additional 5 years for every child you've raised through the teenage years. By her calculations, Carla is definitely wearing the crown of old age.
I thought I'd try this type of equation since it does not include overt fractions. Here goes:
First son 1994-1996 = 5 years
Second son = 5 years
Third son = 5 years
Fourth son = 5 years
Total son years = 20 years
Current age of mom = 38 years
Total son years = 20 years
Grand total = 58 years
Does this mean I'm my sons' own grandma?
Couldn't miss the reference to "my sons' own grandma"--by any chance is that a reference to that crazy song??? Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteLet's see, according to these suggested calculations, I'm 56 for now--wait a few more years when I've finished the teen years with my kids!!!
Hey! This means I'm actually younger than you :)
ReplyDeleteYes, darlin' that's exactly what it means. Don't feel bad, I'm 86, which makes me the great grandmother! :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm nominating you for ‘Live-What-You-Believe’ Homeschool Blog at the Homeschool Blog Awards today! http://homeschoolblogawards.com
wait 5 yrs for every child + 5 years for taking them through their teens. That means 30 years added to my 56 oye it's worse than I thought I'm 86!!!
