So I took a blogging break...

and you know what, it was exactly what I needed to meet my family's needs, my Bible study needs, and my brain's needs. Thanks for the well wishes.

Here's what I learned last week:
1) Homeschooling allows the much needed flexibility in our family schedule for high demands weeks.
2) Extra sleep that occurs because time is not being spent on television and blogging is a real treat.
3) Some blogs I can't stay away from even while on break.
4) Friends truly come through with the extra help necessary, and give it lovingly.
5) Hairspray that promises 24 hour humidity control fails in a deluge of 3 inches of rain--and you're outside trapped under a picnic pavilion.
6) My husband is awesome in how he gives support, even while he's out of town on business.
7) Talking long distance to a friend after a really exciting morning is really cool.
8) Less blogging does not mean less laundry.
9) There's always laundry.
10) A blogging break does not mean the end of blogging, but a renewed vision for what one will blog.

Which is the segue into what is on my mind for new things to blog. I'm studying through the Gospel according to Matthew this year as well as finishing up some study in Hebrews and then beginning the epistle of 1 John. I want to be more deliberate in my note taking for follow up study and thoughts. Blogging will probably come from those pools.

And I also decided to have the goal of learning how to post pictures. So who knows what might pop up this year at A Complete Thought. Thanks for listening.

  1. I've always found breaks restorative, too. Glad you reel rejuvenated.
