"And I just kept flushing...

and flushing and flushing, but the toilet paper wouldn't go down, Mommy."

These are not the words you want to hear while standing in the kitchen and listening to what sounds like Niagara flow through the kitchen ceiling.

"There is one inch of water on the boys' bathroom floor!"

These are not the words you want to say to your husband over the phone in description of Niagara that began in the bathroom.

"Are those water spots, what's that FIVE of them?  on the kitchen ceiling?  Is it dripping?  It's dripping on the kitchen floor!"

This is not the discussion you wish to have with yourself, while cooking dinner, after having dealt with Niagara upstairs.

Lesson learned by the five year old: When the paper won't go down, don't keep flushing, call mommy.

Lesson learned by his brothers:  Ditto.

Lesson learned by mommy:  The minute you hear Niagara, grab a towel and run upstairs.

  1. Hate, hate, hate low water toilets!

This may not be appropriate, and if so, feel free to delete, but I used to purchase Charmin until my sister told me it was more conducive to clogs, so I switched and our clog count reduced dramatically!

    Just FYI...

  3. Thankfully we have not any "toilet" mishaps....but our finished basement did flood on New Years and what fun that was!
